Summary: Set after But For the Grace of God and Politics. After the political decision to bury the stargate, but before the last two teams return, the SGC has an unexpected visitor. How many Dr. Jacksons can one SGC handle?
The first warning about this story is that it ends on a cliffhanger.
There is apparently a sequel in the offing, but its arrival date is
unknown. The second warning about this story is that the main guest
character is just a little too good to be true -- I would have liked it
better if the character hadn't appeared to out-think Daniel as well as
out-luck him. However, all that being said, the idea is delicious, and
it's still worth reading the story for. The build-up is good, and the
characters are basically in character.
This alternative universe story is set after "But For the Grace of God"
and "Politics", and has fun with the questions: what if "our" Dr. Jackson
wasn't the only one to touch the quantum mirror? And just how different
can these alternate realities be?
I really want to find out what happens next.
