The Panther Adventures

(1) The Tail Begins (Sentinel)

This was an intriguing idea -- what if, in an alternate reality, Jim Ellison was a costumed superhero? Unfortunately, I just couldn't buy the idea of Jim Ellison being a librarian in real life, though there were other bits that were nicely reminiscent of Batman. I also found it a little unlikely (though less so than the librarian thing) that Blair Sandburg and Simon Banks were already friends. But it will be interesting to see what happens next.

(2) Catch As Cat Can (Sentinel)

This is the next one in the Panther Adventures series; I pounced on it when I saw it had arrived. And yes, we do find out why Jim is a Librarian, and it was an interesting theory. I'm not really sure that Blair would do some of the things he does, I just don't see the motivation, it doesn't seem him. But there was some fun dialogue.

Blair quirked an eyebrow. "What? It's emergency library work? Don't tell me, you need to reference a collection, right now"

This story corresponds to the events of Siege, and some of the dialogue was lifted straight from the episode and doesn't sit right in this different context. Though I did like the way that, in this superhero world, Kincaid goes by a super-villain-like name also.
