I'm not that familiar with Profiler, but one doesn't have to be for this, not really. And the author has plonked the "need-to-know" essentials at the end of the story if one wishes (a good place for them). This was the winner of "Best Crossover" in the 2002 Stargate Fan Fiction Awards, and it's certainly worth a look. I just like the way it all pulls together; the way that the author keeps things strictly from the Profiler point of view, and manages to tangle things nicely with some coincidences of fact, misunderstandings, and the highly probable reactions that these characters would have to what they deduce is going on. (rubs hands in glee)
