Monsters and quippage. I have discovered that that's what Buffy and Hercules have in common. And the occasional dimensional portal, apparently. Thanks to BK the Irregular for persuading me to read this; I had been reluctant because I've seen like five minutes of Hercules and Xena and didn't think I'd really get the story. But it works, though I'm sure there were many in-jokes I didn't get.

Here there were many monsters and much quippage, enough to have me laughing out loud more than once. And a plot, there was an actual decent plot in amongst all the monsters and quippage. And a dash of angst and comfort, though the largest amount of angst was on Iolas's part, so I couldn't really relate. But very engrossing and very long; I stayed up far too late reading this. Definitely worth reading.

Nominated in The Crossover Awards.

On the way back from Pylea, Angel and co have a slight detour, into the land of legend. This story doesn't make much sense unless one has read the first one, but it's a fun romp. I especially admire how they manage to have an adventure this time without having a language in common. Cordy was cool. And we get a bit of Season Five foreshadowing.
