Characters: Harry Potter, Tom Riddle

This was an intriguing idea, marred by a poor execution.

The characterisations were too simplistic. The writing style was flat, with narrative info-dumps interspersed with bits of dialogue; there was too much telling, and not enough showing. The occassional spelling mistake didn't help either (at least one example of "there" which should have been "their").

I kept on wondering when something interesting would happen. Then I realized that interesting things were happening, it's just that they weren't told in a way that kept my interest. So I gave up at chapter 7 (out of 39 chapters). Others may have more fortitude than I.
