Blood and Time (Buffy/Doctor Who)

Summary: Drusilla takes a sip...

This captures the crazy-poetic nature of Drusilla, spooky and mad and a seer, as she senses there's more to John Smith than meets the eye, and sips from a cup that is too much for her. Really good.

The Choice (Highlander/Doctor Who)

Characters: Methos, Romana

Summary: For a moment, as he took the boy's head, it seemed that the heavens were ripped open, and Methos, through the howling, bleeding pain of the quickening, was almost sure he'd seen something on the other side. Something burning, and screaming, and dying...

Warning - this ends in an unresolved state.

I love how we get Methos, who is attracted by the discovery of something new in the world, and Romana, who is sharp as knives, and snarky, and weary; how we get compassion and angst and wisdom.

Condimental Chat (Stargate/Doctor Who)

The Ninth Doctor and Jack O'Neill chat over condiments.

This has lovely banter and snark. The pedant in me has to point out that its continuity is AU, but it's still a fun read.

Dimensional Curves (Doctor Who)

Characters: Romana

Summary: Romana is caught in some dimensional curves, and encounters the future.

There are quips, there is snark! Very in character for Romana, the Doctor (both of him) and Donna. Donna gets to rag on both of them. Romana and Donna get to gang up on the Doctor. This is fun!

And there is a bittersweet ending.

Five things Methos and Jack did on vacation (Highlander/Doctor Who)

Characters: Methos, Jack Harkness

What the title says... sort of. If you're a time traveller, you keep on meeting people out of order. This is full of "Who the heck are you?" and lovely snark. Jack is Jack, and Methos is Methos (in all his eras). A fun little romp.

The plan had worked perfectly, a little too perfectly.

Amanda just wanted to steal something. Things don't quite go according to plan. Well, not her plan. The Doctor got what he wanted, though.

I love their interaction, so in character for both of them.

Characters: Martha Jones, Eighth Doctor

Summary: The Farringham school is haunted by ghosts and Martha suspects foul play, especially when another Doctor arrives on the scene.

This story is full of atmosphere, handwaviness and characterisation. Here we have our cake and eat it too, as we see how Martha interacts with the 8th Doctor; it's a lovely sight to see. Both Eight and Martha are spot on, and they work well together.

The action of the story is full of spookiness, but I'm not sure that we were ever quite meant to understand what was going on, not fully; hence my calling this handwavy. But it's handwavy in the best tradition of Who.

Timey Wimey Tea Time (Doctor Who)

Summary:It was a dream about a world with two suns and featured a rather large punchbowl of sangria. The details were fading quickly, as she awoke, but she was pretty sure there were little umbrellas involved. Martha Jones rolled over in her bed and growled at the ceiling as the sound of the kettle whistle broke her sleep....

The Eighth Doctor is eccentric, sweet and angsty; so is this story. A timey-wimey encounter, brief but fun.

Where Bunnies Roam (Doctor Who/Buffy)

Summary:A Doctor Who Easter story with killer bunnies.

This is a little gem of a story, with - as the summary says - killer bunnies, and delightful snarkage. It does end rather abruptly, but it is still a great deal of fun.
