The Dark Sentinel series consists of, at this point, Opposites Attract and Marked and Claimed. This looks as if it was a precursor in thought to the GDP series, only slightly reversed, in this universe Guides have more autonomy than Sentinels, but otherwise it's very similar, including all the Dark Sentinel stuff. Again, the author repeats herself, and again it is very h/c - really not my teakettle at all. (sadistic bastards, sadistic bastards, sadistic bastards...)
