Summary: AU. The TARDIS is broken; no more time travel, and no off-planet travel until he can get the parts he needs. And so the Doctor and Rose live out their bohemian lifestyle in a whole new way.

I didn't expect to like this. It opened with telling, glossing over things I wanted to know more about. But as it went on, with its picture painted postcards, snapshots, snatches of tales, it grew on me. And the end was lyrical.
