This was another of the bunch of Double Jeopardy stories which I read after seeing the episode; this one is an epilogue, exploring the might-have-beens of Jack and Carter, with some good angst. It was good at conveying their frustration, and it was a tale well-told for the most part, though there were some things that seemed a bit too glib and easy (regarding the, er, supplies) but it was generally good. Of course, if you can't stand the idea of Jack and Carter being in love (even though it's canon) then you'd better not read this story!
