This is a post-"Doomsday" story asking the questions "What of the Alt-Doctor? Does he exist?" If you're obsessed enough, you can make anything happen. Well, almost anything. And maybe you aren't the same person by the end of it.

This has a sad, bleak kind of tone, a hardness and coldness there. Creepily plausible, though.
