Poetic Justice (X-Files/Forever Knight)

Of course, one can tell from what is crossed here, that Mulder and
Scully are dashing off to Toronto to investigate an X-File. This story
is nicely ironic in a number of ways. Apart from one gaffe about
Forever Knight vampire lore (in FK, one doesn't become a vampire just by
being bitten by one) the author demonstrates a good grasp of both lots
of characters, with some nice little touches.
Mulder replied "We can't be sure of the age or gender of our suspects.
I just want to remain open to all possibilities. We can't discount vampires
just because modern society no longer believes in them."
Scully noticed that Detective Knight had moved to the far side of the
room. He was now leaning against a wall as far from Mulder as he could get.
She had seen this reaction before. Mulder would start ranting about some
crazy topic or another and some people felt it necessary _to get as far away
from the loon as possible_. Scully just shook her head defeatedly.
