This is a fascinatingly different Alternative Universe story,
a "revelation" story with a twist. It starts off the way one might
expect an early-season story to do; Lois Lane is happily hyper because
she's just gotten a scoop... and as we go further along it creeps up on
you, a nagging feeling that something is wrong with this picture...
Alas I was silly enough to go and get slightly spoiled by the
author's note at the end, but considering that I really liked one of the
things that the idea for this story came from, it didn't spoil my
enjoyment of this story at all, it just spoiled the initial surprise.
Though I might have figured it out anyway. It was also cool watching
Lois jump to a wrong conclusion or two first. I think both Lois and
Clark were in character here; Clark his usual nice self, Lois being both
nosy and caring, aggressive and insecure. There was even a useful peep
from Perry White.
