A good, long, moody piece, introducing a new Tomorrow Person with a painful past. Catriona Fraiser is an intriguing character, not some cipher with super powers (nor a walking ansgt-factory), but someone with problems and talents, who can usually look after herself, and with a firey temper. We find out some interesting things about the Ship, about History in this TP (new series) universe, and sources of darkness and evil. And, hooray, it isn't obvious who the actual villains are, not too soon, anyway. Tension mounts, and the solution isn't simple. Good story.
