Blind

Lostness.

Blind

Now that I know that I am blind
I fear the silence
Now that I know that I am deaf
I fear the darkness
Before, I skated on
oblivious
Now I crawl
Or shiver, standing
afraid to take a step
lest I stumble
afraid not to
lest you walk away from me
leaving me alone
in the dark.
