Super Banana Smoothie

This low-fat smoothie requires a little preparation beforehand.

Ingredients

  • bananas
  • skim milk
  • spices (optional)

Equipment

  • freezer
  • freezer-safe containers
  • blender or stick blender

Instructions

Chop up a few bananas and freeze them.

Take the bananas, still frozen, and just cover with skim milk. Maybe add some cinnamon, nutmeg and/or ginger. Blend with a blender or stick-blender. What you get is a banana thick-shake, with no ice-cream at all! Delicious and low-fat.

Variations

  • add skim-milk yoghurt
  • use mango instead of banana (it makes a lovely creamy thick-shake too)
