This tutorial demonstrates Spanish hitching, a technique often used to create wraps for various objects. This eye catching method of wrapping is quite rare, but still, very rewarding! This paracord wrap is best using 2 or 3 colors.

This first cord is quite long, we need it as a base onto which we will line up our hitches. After that, slide under the knot gutted paracord strands that will be used for the wrap. After that, we simply spiral the long cord around the object and line up hitches onto it. Tightening can be done every half/full row.

This video demonstrates another ringbolt hitching style called Zig Zag hitching. It is a nice looking style. The key to making it nice and even is as always in the tightening!

I have found the knot is tied a bit easier if you switch to a smaller mandrel when it gets a bit tight.

This design has the interesting features of: (a) tufty owl ears, (b) the wings are joined to the body with half-hitches over multiple cords, (c) the binding for the tail is done with whipping rather than square knots or half-hitches. This makes it a bit more uniform.
