Worked in rows, using two Tunisian hooks. The hooks do not need to be the same size, but your gauge will be determined by the larger hook, and the smaller hook should be large enough to work comfortably with your chosen yarn. Choose any weight yarn you like, and hooks of a size appropriate to your yarn weight. An intriguing technique using two Tunisian Crochet hooks to make a textured fabric which is the same on both sides. It isn't knitting, it isn't crochet, it isn't Tunisian Crochet either. What it looks like is both casting on and casting off at the same time; you cast off one hook while casting on to the other hook.

This little basket gets its woven-look texture from a unique tucking technique, which makes the basket sturdy enough to stand up on its own.

For this project, I used 1 skein of Red Heart Super Saver in Grey Heather with my Addi Express Kingsize Knitting Machine. My basket measures 5 1/2" high and 7" in diameter, but you could knit a longer tucked portion for a taller basket. The same technique can also be done on the Addi Express Professional Knitting Machine for a small basket.

How to string beads with smaller openings onto yarn. This is a different method from the pre-stringing or steel-crochet-hook methods. It is like the crochet-hook method, but instead of using a crochet hook, one uses a needle and thread to pull the bead onto the yarn. This works for beads that are too small to string onto the yarn and too small to fit on a tiny crochet hook, or with yarn that is too thick for the crochet hook to grab cleanly.
