how to crochet a fine wire braceletWhile this shows a specific pattern, it also shows the general technique. The most important tip here is that this uses "bullion wire" aka "French wire" which is a coiled extremely fine wire used in embroidery, which makes it very flexible and thus useful for this technique.2019-05-22 08:51:00

How to double your wire crochet speedThis isn't actually crochet, it is knitting (the "invisible spool knitting technique" by Yoola) -- she calls it crochet because it uses a crochet hook, but the stitches themselves are knitting stitches. Anyway, this is a tip for speeding things up using two colours (or two spools of one colour) by doing two stitches on top of each other, one with one wire, one with the other. One would have to time it to see if it actually was faster, but I think it probably is, because it reduces the number of movements one has to make.2018-09-29 23:06:00

Unsupported Viking Knit 1: The Rope Tutorial - Beaducation.comViking Knit tutorial, long but very thorough. Making a "rope" out of wire. Unlike other Viking Knit methods, this technique does not done around a form (such as a dowel or allen wrench). Instead it is unsupported; this works because the wire supports itself. The only tool needed is an awl, which is used to form the stitches around (so that they are even) and to bend the stitch up so that is anchored. Definitely worth looking into. And remember, "The first seven rows are crap!"2017-09-18 18:42:00
