This shows you how to crochet a Boho Bead Bracelet. Here’s a quick and easy project to show you how to crochet with beads. The tapered ends are made with regular Single Crochet stitches, but the center beaded part consists of Tunisian Simple Stitch Crochet. This design has the interesting features of: (a) tufty owl ears, (b) the wings are joined to the body with half-hitches over multiple cords, (c) the binding for the tail is done with whipping rather than square knots or half-hitches. This makes it a bit more uniform.

One interesting feature of this design is that most of the square knots are three-strand rather than four-strand. Another interesting feature is the way half-hitches are tied over multiple cords to tie the wings and the body together.

This tutorial shows how to make a fully beaded flat kumihimo braid. This is a seven-strand flat braid, and there are three beads used per row. This looks like it locks the beads in more easily than the 8-strand round braid that is the most commonly used braid. Materials: 1mm satin cord, 4 x 3mm rondelles with 1mm holes, 8mm ribbon ends. This uses a square kumihimo disk, but it should work using other platforms as well.

How to string beads with smaller openings onto yarn. This is a different method from the pre-stringing or steel-crochet-hook methods. It is like the crochet-hook method, but instead of using a crochet hook, one uses a needle and thread to pull the bead onto the yarn. This works for beads that are too small to string onto the yarn and too small to fit on a tiny crochet hook, or with yarn that is too thick for the crochet hook to grab cleanly.

This tutorial shows how to add beads to a flat kumihimo braid, on the sides of it. While this is demonstrated on a square kumihimo disk with the beads being added as you go, it could also be done on a marudai with pre-strung beads. The beads would have to be strung on every cord, and brought down when that cord is moved to the side position.

This tutorial shows how to make channel set beaded flat kumihimo braid; that is, beads go down the centre like they're in a channel. This design isn't suited for a marudai, since the beads have to be strung on while the braid is being made. They can't be pre-strung, which means that the cord has to be not spooled, which means one can't use weighted spools, which means you can't do this on a marudai. But it's a nifty design; the beads are snug inside the braid.

Tutorial for making beaded shell scallops at the start of a knitted scarf. The original pattern is from Deanna's Vintage Styles (Shell Fringe Scarf). However, one doesn't need to follow that pattern in order to use the general technique. It's a lovely way of decorating the bottom of a knitted piece. This video also demonstrates how to transfer beads from a hank of beads over to one's yarn. This can be useful for any textile craft where one is adding beads to the piece (e.g. crochet, kumihimo)

This tutorial shows how to loosely knot a seed bead bracelet with a button clasp, using tigertail and seed beads (this uses Soft Flex .019 Beading Wire). This is basically doing macrame alternating half-hitches with the tigertail (which is filled up with seed-beads) and because the tigertail is stiff-but-springy, you can make the knots very loose (hardly "knots" at all) and you get a lovely Celtic-looking set of loops around each other. You could probably do something similar with round leather cord (though without the beads, or with very large-hole beads).
