How to fold gift Box (Masu Box) with lid using any gift wrapping paper. You need to cut your wrapping paper into 2 same size squares. The one in this video is 29cm x 29cm. The finished box size is: 10.5cm x 10.5cm x 5.5cm. Traditional model (10/2022) I modified the traditional Masu box to make a shallow lid.

I would say this origami is harder than usual, I think you can still give it a try, it makes a useful tray for your pencils, also use it to organise beads, chop sticks and other long things :o)

Nifty. Looks fairly straightforward, useful for small gifts. Would need stiff-ish paper, or cardstock, and wouldn't survive squashing, but it does look nice.

Designs for snap-together 3D cubes made from melty-beads. This is useful because it gives multiple sizes from 3x3 up to 7x7, with some hints about how to make even larger ones. It is also useful because, not being a video tutorial, one doesn't have to pause the video in order to copy down the pattern.

Made to measure - with plastic canvas. Would therefore only do for small boxes, but worth investigating. The difficulty seems to be in finding plastic canvas in Australia.

Decorating a faux book. Really cool ideas. This references a paid tutorial... if I wanted to get all those exact effects it would be worth buying; as it is, this has simply opened my eyes to the possibilities, such as using brass stampings, old newspaper, string, etc.
