I love the way this interlocks and curves. I've seen something similar with chainmaille (Japanese weave) but only one band, not two interlocking bands.

I don't know the technique (I don't think it's plain stringing) but I love the effect of the gradual colour change from black to silver by changing the numbers of beads of different colour. I don't think it would work so well if it wasn't multi-strand. I wonder if once could do this with a bead-crochet tube?

Half large beads, half multi strand, joined by large contrasting bead or pearl. This is a good texture contrast, balanced.

Helm Chain with gears in place of some of the rings. Very cool.

At first I thought the colourful parts were beads, but looking closer, I see they are thread - the WHOLE THING is macrame knots. Cool. (original page is gone)

This amethyst cabochon is wrapped in both maille and wire; the outside edge of the wrap is maille, then wire is threaded through the rings to make a lovely spirograph/fractal pattern. Cool idea.

Fabulous. A sea-shell slice by itself looks rather naked, but this wire-wrapping enhances it nicely.

Pendant made by crocheting around a twisted metal ring. Cool idea!

Originally from Etsy shop Zetaemme but the item is no longer there. Similar items are there, along the theme of crocheting around a metal charm. I'm noting this one though because the crochet on it is a little more elaborate, with three colours rather than one or two.

Washer maille pendant on Saturn-weave chain. The pendant is eye-catching, like a flower/spiral with the petals made of washers.

Double-layer washer and bead pendant tutorial. I like how it layers a smaller washer on top of the large washer, and puts beads on the edges.

I love how this manages to evoke spirals, ferns, and paisley all at once. I think it evokes ferns because of the way the beads are wrapped on the inner curve of the spiral.

Brass, rutile quartz hair pin. The cool thing about this is the way that charms are wired into the design. It didn't occur to me that one could use charms as well as beads to be part of wire-wrapped work.

Pendant; hammered dangles hanging off a S-spiral. It is the latter which is particularly intriguing: a reminder that one is not limited to hanging things from circles.

What I like about this is not just the nice swirls, but the way the jasper itself makes me think of Jupiter. Whether that was intended I don't know. (original page has vanished)

Wire-wrapped copper necklace and bracelet. Thinner wire and beads are wrapped around thicker wire. What I like about this is the way the wire twists and turns, not all going in the same direction. (Russian site)

The original page said: _Authentic Arrowhead in a sterling silver wire wrap designed for the stone. I wanted to make something elegant for a very primitive looking piece._ (The original page can no longer be found.) This is a lovely example of wrapping an arrowhead.

Elegant simplicity in the wire-work shows off the stone. Examining the wire-work more closely, I think the stone is a large bead with a vertical hole through it. (could not find original page)

Bracelet with an interesting use of glass rings and beads. Looks to be woven on the bias, possibly E4 on the bias. The glass rings are reinforced with metal rings alongside them. (could not find original page)

The interesting thing about these drops is that the wire wrapping continues on below the beads in some nice swirls. I keep on forgetting that one can do more than just enclose wrapped objects.
